Technical Specifications

E20 Petrol

The correct spark plug plays an important role in maintaining reliable ignition and consistent combustion when using ethanol-blended petrol.

For E20-era vehicles, always follow the vehicle manufacturer’s fuel and maintenance recommendations. The spark plug itself does not make a vehicle E20-compatible.

⚠️ Fitment Verification

This listing is specifically for the Tata applications for which NGK India lists LKR7BIX-P.

Compatible applications:

• Tata Nexon 1.2L

Designed for reliable ignition and consistent combustion with today’s ethanol-blended petrol.

E20 Petrol Ready — Reliable Ignition for Modern Indian Fuel

With E20 petrol now available across India, choosing the correct, high-quality spark plug becomes increasingly important for petrol engines.

🔥 Why Iridium Makes Sense with E20 Petrol

• Better ignitability — the fine-wire iridium electrode requires less ignition voltage and supports reliable spark formation.
• More consistent combustion — a stable spark helps the engine burn the air-fuel mixture more consistently.
• Helps maintain smooth performance — consistent ignition can contribute to smoother engine operation and throttle response.
• Reliable cold starting — strong ignitability helps support dependable starting.
• Reduced misfire tendency — consistent ignition helps minimise incomplete combustion caused by weak or inconsistent spark.
• Built for durability — iridium’s excellent wear resistance allows NGK to use a very fine centre electrode.

⛽ E20 Petrol + The Right Spark Plug

E20 petrol contains up to 20% ethanol, and ethanol-blended fuels have different combustion characteristics from conventional petrol.

That makes proper ignition and the correct spark-plug specification even more important.

A correctly specified spark plug helps maintain dependable ignition and consistent combustion, particularly in modern turbocharged petrol engines. Actual fuel economy, power and engine performance depend on the overall condition of the vehicle, ignition system, fuel system and engine.
